The Global Citizen Scholarship Program 2026 is a prestigious international leadership initiative organized by the Ban Ki-moon Foundation for a Better Future. This scholarship provides a structured 8–9 month virtual learning journey combined with a fully funded international summer school experience in Europe. It equips participants with the skills, mentorship, and seed funding needed to transform ideas into measurable community impact.

Program Structure

The program blends theory, leadership training, and hands-on implementation:

  • Interactive online leadership and SDG-focused training

  • Expert-led global workshops

  • Personalized mentorship from experienced professionals

  • Development and execution of a community-based SDG project

  • A fully funded two-week summer school at Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Austria

  • €500 seed funding to support project implementation

  • Certificate of Achievement awarded upon successful completion

Participants will deepen their understanding of sustainable development, global governance, entrepreneurship, and ethical leadership while building a strong international network of peers.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are expected to:
